Blessings come in small packages (or, as it were, printer paper boxes…)

I received a call from Wandita on Friday saying that her tribe had a care package for me if I wanted to pick it up after leaving the hospital (where Del’s baby was born). Well, that didn’t end up happening but Uncle Don brought it in his truck today! Whoot whoot! Thanks to Don, Wanda, Heather, and Allie who prepared the following care package that is absolutely PERFECT!:

1. Paper plates and BOWLS! NOW I can eat my chili!
2. A small frying pan and sauce pan- now I can COOK my chili!
3. Utensils, plastic silverware, and a can opener.
4. Dish soap and scrub sponges (does that mean I have to CLEAN items in #2 &3?)
5. Ramen soup – my fav!
6. Dinty Moore stew – MY FAV how did you know?!?!!?!
7. Stagg Chili Laredo – how did you know this is my all time fav?!!?!!?
8. A plastic drink shaker which includes 4 shot glasses – this TOTALLY made me laugh!
9. Eclipse gum!
10. SUNFLOWER SEEDS!!!!

If I forgot anything, please forgive me!

Thank you SO MUCH for your sweet, generous hearts that have cared for me so well! I just ate some stew and my tummy is way happy. I am drinking WATER and eating some seeds as I type this. Very content! Thank you very much – I love you all!

Friday, August 24th

I am very tired, but tomorrow (Friday) Victoria is scheduled for her c-section! We will FINALLY find out if she’s having a boy or girl!!!

I will try to update as much as possible! I am with her now – spending the night and going with her in the morning. Procedure scheduled for noon. Very exciting, although she looks very calm. She is a lot like me in that she doesn’t TRY to show her emotions or feelings……but if you could see her right now you might pick up on some things. Like, she accomplished TONS of things in the house today…..busy, busy, busy! She also is very “business like” – handing out things to do and keeping track. I think that’s how she copes.

I love her and tomorrow I will have a new nephew or niece!!!!

Okay, better get some shut eye!

Bios for the Peeps

(Sub Title – What Gina Will Do to Avoid Homework)

Here are some bios of my regular readers!

Liz, Jen, and me

Liz B – She may look innocent in pictures, but she’s a feisty one! She is witty, sarcastic, and a great story teller. She makes me laugh so hard and plays the perfect “good cop” to my “bad cop” (especially in relation to Cat’s ridiculous shoes! LOL). Check out her comments here and on Deana’s blog – you will see all of what I’ve described there!

Wanda and Deana

Wanda is Mi Vida, often people get the two of us confused (SERIOUSLY!) She has been told she “did a great job on the drums in staff meeting” before and such. Obviously she must be very beautiful! Wanda has an amazing sense of humor, as you probably noticed from her comments, and also has a heart of gold. She is way nicer than Deana. LOL I also call her my Mom…..

Heather

Heather is my “little sister” and daughter of Wanda. She is a college student, employee at Subway, and older sister, and a comedian. Don’t believe me? Check out her comments! She posts the most and usually gets one of the top two posting positions. She is in an ongoing competition with me and Liz on Deana’s blog. She also backs me up on most occasions. I think I owe her my next cell phone when I upgrade…..

Allie

Allie B, sister of Heather and daughter of Wanda, doesn’t post as much but is cool just the same. It’s fun to see her and Heather bicker in the comments, although they were pretty united on the whole “boatload vs buttload” argument! Great job! She also is very helpful to me as she is making me a care package and will eventually be doing my laundry. ALLIE RULES!

Okay, I won’t post more because my jacked wireless is kind of slow tonight and the pics are taking forever. I DO have to do SOME homework people!

See ya!

To my Loyal Readers

(All 2.78 of you!)

Today it appears I might begin the day with a better attitude. Not sure why – the alarm still pissed me off, the coffee is the same, I was sad that Lucky was not at the door waiting for me, and of course there’s this empty house. But I don’t know, it just seems better today.

Some updates for you:

1) Edgar’s interview in Texas went very well. I haven’t heard the “official” word, but he seemed to think the job was totally his as they already talked salary and he took a drug test, etc. So this is the final factor that tips me over the point of moving to Texas. Part of me is scared, but at least I know for sure where to focus my efforts. Perhaps this piece of information is one of the reasons I woke up with a better attitude! Limbo is for losers.

2) That explains why Deana is enrolling my boys in school in Texas (if you’ve read her latest post). They are very excited and the schools, I am told, are very nice.

3) Kirstie has been working at Forever 21 and enjoying it very much. She has received plenty of hours, so that’s great. Not sure how all this change affects her, as Edgar indicated he wanted her to be able to finish her senior year at Canyon. I am thinking that she will stay in Cali through the year with Edgar’s parents. This makes me a little sad, but Kirstie and I have talked and she has a wonderful attitude. We will be having lunch and catching up this week. She is becoming such a wonderful young lady – sometimes I am totally in awe.

4) I start my Acts class tonight – and, no!, I haven’t finished my homework! Freak it was WAY TOO MUCH! But anyway, this has not dampened my attitude this morning although it IS only 5:55am.

5) My dear best friend, Deana, totally razzed me a few weeks ago when I chose to recite portions of THE RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER for my speech class. Well, actually, I used the Iron Maiden version, but it was still very true to the original. Anyway, she made so much fun of me – saying what a weird poem this was and what was the point of it and basically made fun of me (which, by the way, I can totally handle). Anyway, this morning when I was waiting for my coffee to brew I was putzing around and looked in the media center to see what had not been packed. There was a red folder so I checked it out – schoolwork from Deana! Dun dun dun! On the very top was an analysis essay on nothing other than THE RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER! Dated 5/17/88 by our own Deana!!!! So now I will never let her live it down and I am so going to tease her! Oh, and she scored a 94%…….

6) I received a call from Victoria yesterday – made me nervous since her baby can pop any minute – but it was just an update. Her c-section, due to the baby being breech, is scheduled for 8/30 but she is already dilating and thinning. This has caused some concern for the doctor so things may be happening THIS week! She pushed up the next appointment to this Thursday instead of next Monday so we shall see. She also told Victoria to pay close attention to everything and go to the hospital if she notices any patterns and such. THIS IS GETTING EXCITING BUT VERY NERVE WRACKING! I am glad that I am still here to help out though! And I can’t wait to finally find out if she’s having a girl or a boy – consensus says it’s a girl.

7) Yes, I am still beautiful – thanks for your concern.

8) Special shout outs to my most loyal readers: Heather (you’re #1 little sis!), Liz, Cat, Lori, Wandita, Allie, Jen T and Deana. Sorry if I missed anyone but hey, you know how it is. Leave comments and I will know!

Okay I have to get my butt out of bed (not to suggest any reference to the ongoing debate about “boatload” vs “buttload” – although spell check recognized the former and not the latter) and get ready for work. Much love to y’all!

Changes Galore!

First, the negatives:

1) Deana, Stepha, and the kids moved to Texas. You have heard me bemoan this subject enough that I don’t need to go into details!

2) Several other close friends have been or will be on vacation. Sigh. I am sucking it up, truly! But holy crap people! Don’t you know it’s all about me??? LOL

3) A homeless man “parked” in Chino Hills and I have forged a sort of friendship and now he’s gone! I hope he’s okay.

Now, the positives:

1) Thanks to cool friends like Sonya who have hung out with me! YOU ROCK!

2) School is back in swing so that takes up a lot of my free time.

3) Oh yeah, there’s this jacked wireless connection…..

4) I don’t know, I kind of feel like there should be more positives than negatives, so I am really pressured to have something here! Oh, damn!

Today I started my Job/Eccles/Song of Solomon Bible class. It is very small – only 5 students, glad they didn’t cancel it! – but sometimes the smaller classes are harder because the IDIOTS in the class think they can just take over! Such was the case today! But otherwise it was very interesting. I also start my Acts Bible class on Tuesday and have a boatload of homework to do so I better get back to bed so I am awake enough to do it tomorrow (today?).

Special shout out to Heather – my little left handed sister – who always comments me and leaves me messages on my MySpace! Love you!

I Dance like a white girl with no rhythm
I Sing in the shower, in my car, and on Sing Star.
I Never let the water run when I brush my teeth.

I Cry often, but hate to do it in front of others.
I Am Not Always Nice.
I Lose usually with a bad attitude.
I’m Confused about how I am supposed to answer this question.
I Need to smile more or else people will notice that I am trying not to cry.
I Should be doing my homework right now instead of this survey

Answers to some frequently asked questions….

Yep, I am bored in this empty house, fell asleep way too early last night, and now wide awake at an ungodly hour. SO, being so professionally efficient, decided to create this post:

1) It was very hot when I got home here in “Eastvale”. The house was about 97 degrees inside! I turned on the upstairs air conditioning, closed my bedroom door, and prayed that it would get cool soon. Ironically, I woke up freezing this morning! LOL

2) Yes, Kenny and Josh are currently in Texas! I know this has caused concern for some of you but no worries! It could be temporary or I could move to Texas depending on my ability to find affordable housing in Cali (well, is there such a thing???). But since Stepha is my nanny and she moved to Texas, well, summers in Texas aren’t that bad right?

3) Why, yes, I am very gorgeous – thanks for asking!

4) Yes, what you’ve heard is very true – left handers ARE consistently high achievers and hold higher than average IQs. (So maybe they spell aisle like isle but you know what it means……) Plus, they are way too sexy.

Okay, well, I have adequately tired myself out with the internet so I think I am going to try to go back to bed! Let me know if you have any other questions that need to be answered!
